  • Alpha Kappa Psi

    Alpha Kappa Psi is a professional co-ed business fraternity founded in 1904 with the purpose of developing its members into principled business leaders. The professional organization now has over 298,000 initiated members at 219 universities in 4 countries.

    Of the many chapters, the Kappa Tau Chapter was founded here at 四虎影视's campus in 1980 and has been thriving ever since. Alpha Kappa Psi is much more than just another organization or club—it is a unique, prestigious association of students, professors, graduates and professionals that share a common goal.

    Because of this common goal, Alpha Kappa Psi has grown to be the oldest and largest business fraternity in the world. With an extensive network of alumni, members are able to land opportunities at some of the most profitable companies in the world. As one of the best professional co-ed business fraternities, we are truly preparing our brothers for a life of success.

  • Association for Information Systems Student Chapter of 四虎影视 (AIS)

    This is a student chapter of the National Association for Information Systems. Our objectives are to:

    • Encourage the pursuit of information systems excellence within LU
    • Offer information systems career and technology information to our members
    • Provide networking opportunities to those interested in information systems

  • American Marketing Association (AMA)

    The American Marketing Association is a national organization that acknowledges the growth of people in the business field. By offering a plethora of opportunities and offers, the AMA is the largest marketing association that helps not only new students, but also anyone looking to improve his or her future.

  • Asian Business Student Association

    The Asian Business Student Association is an upcoming organization at 四虎影视 that aspires to provide resources for Lamar students to add to their professional skill set.

    ABSA aims to equip students with essential skills, such as leadership, networking, community service and professional development, which will be beneficial for their career success.

  • Construction Management Student Association (CMSA)

    CMSA's purpose is to promote awareness of the construction management program at Lamar, to provide for the professional development of our members and to offer a social outlet for CM students.

  • Finance Association (Finance Association)

    The Finance Association encompasses both the local chapter of the Financial Management Association (FMA) and the FMA National Honorary Society. We are a registered student organization and have regularly been recognized as a Superior Chapter of FMA International.

    Our members usually wish to pursue careers in finance, but some simply have an interest in finance and want to learn more about it. Many of our meetings feature a guest speaker, someone who has excelled and become a leader in the field, and is willing to share the secrets of his or her success.

    We welcome all undergraduate and MBA students. For new members, local chapter dues are $25, payable by check to the Finance Association or in cash. National Honor Society dues are separate and are paid to the FMA.

    Our meetings are held first and third Wednesdays of the month at 5:30 pm in Galloway 242 (College of Business building). For a full list of meetings and events, check our calendar located in the display case on the first floor of Galloway, our , or OrgSync.

  • Financial Management Association International Honor Society (FMA National Honor Society)

    Founded over 50 years ago, the FMA National Honor Society recognizes scholastic achievement through the induction of students who have demonstrated superior scholarship.

    Individuals accepted for membership in the Honor Society have the distinction of belonging to the only international honor society that specifically recognizes the achievement of finance majors. As such, it serves to acknowledge their educational achievements in the areas of financial economics and decision making.

    The requirements for undergraduate membership are an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.25 and a GPA of 3.25 in at least six hours of finance-related course work. The requirements are similar for graduate students, except that the benchmark for both GPAs is 3.50.

  • National Association of Black Accountants (NABA)

    The 四虎影视 Student Chapter of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA, Inc.), is a nonprofit membership association dedicated to bridging the opportunity gap for people of color in accounting, finance, consulting, information technology and other related business professions.

    Representing more than 200,000 people of color in these fields, NABA, Inc. advances people, advances careers, and advances the mission by providing education, resources and meaningful career connections to both professional and student members, fulfilling the principle of our motto: Lifting as we climb. This is made possible, in part, through the support of our corporate partners and the strength of our volunteer network.

  • College of Business Student Advisory Council

    The College of Business Student Advisory Council consists of a group of business students who want to actively promote and improve the College of Business. The purpose of the organization is to offer a gateway for the students and the Dean to communicate as well as to provide for the professional development of skilled business leaders of tomorrow.
